The latest OnePlus smartphone, the OnePlus 6, is cheap and, frankly, quite impressive. With a huge display and a damn good camera, there is a lot on this phone.
Here are some tips and tricks to help you design the phone the way you want it.
Change battery indicator
In addition to selecting a circular battery indicator, you can flip or remove icons from the status bar of the OnePlus 6 ($ 529.00 on OnePlus) .
Open Settings > Status bar > Battery style for some options. Alternatively, you can select Icon manager to add or remove things like the Wi-Fi or NFC icons from your status bar. With the notation of how much space one has to display such things, this feature is very handy.
Button navigation forgotten
OnePlus has a gesture-based navigation feature for some time and is still available on the OnePlus 6. Unplug the bottom row of navigation buttons and use only gestures by activating the function in Settings > Buttons > Navigation Bar & Gestures and select the bottom Option
Be sure to look through the tutorials and scroll through them for a better understanding of the gestures you need to know.
Or Use Keys … with Hidden Functions
Also within Settings > Keys is a set of options to assign multiple functions to the default navigation keys. For example, you can change the long-term initiative on the homepage and disable Google Assistant. Or, double-click the Recents button to open the Notifications panel.
Not to be confused with gesture navigation, the OnePlus settings menu has a category dedicated to gestures ( settings > gestures ). In the gesture settings, you can enable features such as double-tapping to wake up the phone, or take a screenshot with a three-finger swipe across the screen.
There is even a list of gestures, such as drawing an O or S screen and actions you can assign to them.
The Physical Alert slider on the OnePlus 6 has three different options: Silent, Vibration, and Ring. Simple enough, right? Art.
In Settings > Alert Slider there are some additional options, such as: For example, alerts can sound even if the slider has enabled Silent mode. Change or shelve
The OnePlus shelf is located on the left side of the home screen, displaying the weather, recent apps, contacts, and a few other things.
To remove some of the default items, long press and then tap the red X icon when it appears. The shelf uses the widget of an app and keeps everything organized for you.
If you do not want the shelf at all, long press on your home screen, tap Home Settings and turn off Shelf off notch or not?
Oh, hey! Another phone with a notch. Do you want to take it off? Open Settings > Display > Notepad . Unlike the LG G7 ThinQ, you can not add color or something special to the notch on the OnePlus 6. You can either use apps all the way around the score, or force them to pause.
Use Icon Packs. 19659014] oneplus-6-app-icons "data-original =" https://cnet2.cbsistatic.com/img/uEbI3m2uOw_FBb2-xsiKboIL5e8=/620×0/2018/06/01/e1dd5c61-67f6-4a85-865f-f1cef176b8a9/ oneplus-6-app-icons.jpg “/>

With the default app launcher on the OnePlus 6, you can use custom icon packages from the Play Store instead of installing a third-party launcher like Nova.
To change icon packs, long press home screen and tap Home Settings > Icon Pack . OnePlus includes some custom features that you can choose from, as well as a direct link to the Play Store and compatible Icon Packs.
Where to find the camera settings
The settings of the camera app are a bit difficult to find at first. In the app, swipe over the title of the current mode, and then tap the Settings icon in the top right corner
In the camera's settings, you can change the shutter sound, location information, and normal photo, for example, to take pictures in portrait orientation.
Lift to wake
If you're always on the screen, lifting the OnePlus 6 and pressing a button can be annoying every time you look for new messages.
This is where Lift to wake comes into play. Activate Lift Settings > Display > Environment Display . Turn on Raise Display and then adjust how the clock should look and whether to display a personal message on the screen.
After that lift the phone up is activated.
