When leftovers are to be put away

It is a myth that hot or warm food can be put in a container and stuck in the fridge so that dangerous bacteria can form. As long as you divide large quantities of food into smaller, flatter containers, this is fine. It is much more dangerous to leave the food outside to cool it first.

And do not leave out the whole afternoon buffet style for the late arrivals. Food should be stored in the refrigerator or freezer within 2 hours of cooking.

Food leftovers for better taste

To keep the leftovers fresh and tasty, store them in airtight pouches or containers or wrap them tightly in plastic wrap.

How long do the remnants of Thanksgiving last?

No, you can not eat your Thanksgiving treats until next week. According to the Washington State Department of Health, you need to freeze or chill cooled remains within three to four days.
