4 Ways to Get Your Fortnite Fix While You Wait for the Official Game on Android «Android :: Gadget Hacks

Since early March, iOS users can enjoy the most popular video game in the world. Android users were jealous of waiting for a "few months," Epic Games' only vague release date. In the meantime, there are a few ways we can satisfy our play instinct.

According to the news that the Android version of Fortnite is likely to be included in the Galaxy Note 9 for a month, it looks like most of us have won I can not play in September at the earliest. Somehow, a few months have turned into half a year.

There are a few games in the Play Store that offer a similar experience to the upcoming Android version of Fortnite Battle Royale. Although none of the solutions listed below are a perfect replacement, they will help you get your hands on while waiting for the official release.

. 1
PUBG Mobile

I suppose you may have already seen it, but the mobile version game that brings the Battle Royale genre to the map is already available in the Play Store. While the game was not created by the original developers (PUBG Corporation), it was carefully handled by Tencent, who entered into a deal with PUBG Corporation to bring the game to the mobile platforms. Tencent Games is also better-versed in the mobile space, as their widely successful arena of bravery shows.

Unlike Fortnite, PUBG Mobile offers the ability to use either the third person view or the first person view. There are more weapons that borrow their style and their names from real counterparts. It also gives a more realistic look compared to Fortnite's cartoon look. In addition, with PUBG Mobile, you can configure the graphics settings and refresh rate on your device for the best experience.

Trust Me When I Say There are many more differences between PUBG Mobile and Fortnite, but if you have a game with an almost wish identical gaming experience, PUBG Mobile is the best choice.

. 2 Battlelands Royale

Let me get this out of the way: Battles Royale copies a lot of Fortnite Battle Royale. The lobby's familiar layout, the use of an additional content pass (also known as a battle pass) and its game currency (called Battle Bucks) are just a few of the ways Fortnite Battle Royale misses out. But there is a big difference between the two games – Battles Royale uses a top view.

Remember the Camera View in GTA: Chinatown Wars, Battlelands Royale places the camera above and radically changes the game. With this camera angle Futureplay had to make some changes to the gameplay. First, skydiving is done automatically. You select the location, then you will jump to that area, with control returning only a few feet above the ground.

Second, picking up weapons is automatic and based on a timer. Stand over the weapon and a progress bar turns green. Once it's filled, you've collected the weapon. If you pick up the weapon, you will notice that the shooting is handled differently. Similar to old Contra games, if you choose and hold in the direction you want to shoot, a line will appear indicating both the direction and distance of the balls.

Third, there is no way to hold more than one weapon. If you switch to a new weapon instead, switch to it and lose the old weapon forever. While the gameplay is a bit different, it's certainly similar enough to Fortnite and will at least keep you from it for now.

3. Stream the PC version onto your phone while you're at home

If you do not want a replacement, you can play the current game on your phone. With the Steam Link app, you can connect your phone to your computer and stream the game to your phone. However, this method requires a bit of work because Fortnite is not included in the Steam Library.

You must download the latest beta version of Steam Link on your phone and install the Steam app on your computer (either Windows or Windows) or macOS). If Steam is open on your computer, click "Add a Game" in the lower-left corner and select "Add a Non-Steam Game" from the menu. For example, if you already have Fortnite installed on your computer, you should see Epic Games Launcher. This is the library that contains Fortnite that needs to be added to your Steam library.

With Fortnite Battle Royale added, make sure your phone is on the same local network as your computer (preferably your computer should be use Ethernet for the best connection). Follow the instructions in the Steam Link Beta app and connect your phone to your computer. Once connected, select "Start Playing" to start the link.

Select "Library" and locate Epic Games Launcher. Here you will find Fortnite, which you can choose to start playing. I strongly recommend using a controller. You can check this list to see if your controller supports your choice of Steam Link. Please note that Fortnite's default controls are not optimal and should be changed in game settings so they are not optimized for Steam Link.

In addition, this method requires you to be in the same location as your computer because it mirrors the screen of your desktop on your phone. The performance of the game depends entirely on your computer, so while using an old laptop, you can use a gaming PC.

. 4 Play the PC version on the go

There is another solution for those who want to play the latest game (at least the PC version) on their Android device. Vortex Cloud Gaming is a cloud service that allows you to stream the game from the app's servers to your Chrome browser or Android device. Because it streams the game, you can run it either on your Wi-Fi network or in mobile data. We would recommend staying with Wi-Fi because latency will be a problem for LTE.

There is no installation or download needed to play the game The entire game is run from their servers. Instead, once you have the app, you can choose the game you want and start enjoying it.

There is a monthly subscription of $ 9.99, and there is no free trial. However, we recommend that you ping the app on your network before signing in to ensure that you have enough connectivity and minimal latency.

Each of these methods brings the addictive Battle Royale experience to your Android device. With rumors that Fortnite Battle Royale may be available for all Android devices at least until September, we hope these methods will make the wait easier.
