The Note 10 Plus offers much more than just a good look. Juan Garzon / CNET

Samsung's Galaxy Note 10 Plus is a stand-out device (we're currently testing the smaller grade 1

0). From long battery life to a stunning display to new S-Pen tricks – the latest Samsung phone has a lot to offer.

After you get your phone, there's a lot to learn. For example, works by taking a screenshot and turning off Note 10 phones differently than with previous Galaxy devices, and the camera itself has many new tricks. But there are also some hidden features that can take your Grade 10 to the next level.

Regardless of whether you record your screen, embed your voice, or turn on boosting so your screen is always on when you need it, your phone offers many options that may not be obvious at first glance ,

Use an increase to wake up

Pressing a button to wake up the screen of your phone is not exactly tedious, but a task that is not required. Use the function Cancel to wake up so that your phone is always at hand when you lift it off.

Open the Settings app and go to Advanced Features > . Movements and gestures and turn on To wake up .

If you continue, the screen will be activated immediately each time you pick up the phone and you will see your pending notifications.

Wake up – also called Lift to Wake – is a subtle but useful feature.

Always-on-display on … all the time.

Note 10's Always-on-Display (AOD) feature is not always on by default. You actually have to tap on the screen to use it. That is … somehow meaningless?

When you switch to Settings > Lock Screen > Always Display Switch to schedule, view, or tap at any time.

Combine AOD at any time with the lift on to wake up, and your phone is always ready.

An always-on display should always be on, right?

Another way to access keyboard lock shortcuts

The lock screen has two app icons that act as keyboard shortcuts for opening apps. By default, these apps are the camera and phone apps. Not only can you change which apps are available, but also where the links are displayed.

Open Settings > Lock Screen > App Shortcuts and select Floating Button if the app icons prefer to appear should be next to the fingerprint sensor if you press it for a long time.

Just below the layout area, you'll find the option to change the left and right links.

If you choose the floating button setting, all you have to do is put your finger on the sensor and leave it there. After about a second, the app icons will be displayed. Drag your finger to the app you want to open and lift it up.

I've found that this link works only when used through the lock screen. If you place your finger on the fingerprint sensor on the constantly-on screen, the phone will simply unlock.

You're not sure why Want to talk to Bixby, but for those who do, you can use it to turn off or restart your phone.

Restart the phone with your voice.

We've already talked about how Samsung's decision to move the power button gets shaken when you first use the Touch 10 button actually starts Bixby.

Fortunately, you can set the power button to turn your phone off, or launch another app (more on that in the next tip) and then simply use Bixby to turn off or restart your phone.

Start Bixby and use a variant of the Restart Phone or Turn Off Phone command. Then confirm your command when prompted.

Program the page key again to open an app.

Not only can you activate / deactivate the Note 10 with the on / off switch, you can also open the camera or trigger Bixby. You can use it again to open any app.

Open the Settings app on your phone and go to Advanced Features > Page Key .

Change the double-click command in Open App and then select your preferred app.

Use multiple S-pens.

You may have a spare S-Pen on your desk and want to use it so you do not have to constantly remove the S-Pen from your Note 10.

Go to ] Settings > Advanced Features > S Pen and Power On Use Multiple S Pins if using the Option to draw on your note 10 with another S-pen, even if the S-pen is still in your phone.

Immediately below the function button, you are warned that using this feature may cause the battery of your Note 10 to discharge faster than normal – remember.

You can use more than one S-Pen with your grade 10.

Record Your Screen and Yourself

The screen capture is built into Grade 10 and offers some pretty cool features. You can use screen captures to guide someone through troubleshooting their phone, show off a cool new feature, or even record how you play Fortnite – with a video of your face as you drop by.

Before you use it for the first time, go to Settings > Advanced Features > Screenshots and Videotapes > Videographic Recorder Settings .

Create Better Screenshots

The S Pen's Smart Select feature lets you take exactly the screenshots you want. When you remove the S Pen from the Note 10, a number of options appear on your screen. Touch Smart Select.

Use the toolbar at the bottom of the screen to select from a crop tool that uses a square or a rectangle for your screenshot. The cloud is a freehand drawing tool that you can use for an oddly shaped screenshot. The circle uses a circle, and the GIF button draws a portion of your screen to create a screen capture that converts to an animated image.

Finally, the square icon with the thumbtack takes a screenshot and fixes the image on your screen. This is especially useful if you need to reference something when completing a form or when composing an e-mail. Just take the screenshot, pin it down, and delete it when you're done.
