A diving team from the Orlando Fire Department confirmed a deceased person was in the vehicle, according to an Orlando Police press release.
Belle Isle Police were made aware of the discovery and contacted Hollingsworth’s family.

“This has been a long, hard road for the family. They have beautiful hearts and are strong. Scott is a great father and he made positive charges to find his wife. His children love and respect him. He is their rock They saw the hundreds of seekers and thousands of people who came together and prayed to close the family. Without all of these people and the tireless efforts they made while stopping their lives to help this needy family, Scott would still look for his wife. He can rest now.
Scott motivated us to start FindSteph.com. It became a movement. He wants us to continue our efforts to have conversations that address many of the topics that came up in this search.
This was a mother who loved her family and was married to her soul mate. Together they raised 3 strong, well-rounded boys. You are all heartbroken today, just as you have been for 3 weeks. Today brought the closure so they can all mourn now. “
