You may have just imported slides from another presentation, and you want to delete some and rearrange the others. Or maybe you started from scratch adding new slides or reorganizing existing ones. Whatever the reason, it's done quickly in a few easy steps.
Adding, Deleting, and Rearranging Slides in Normal View
First, we will work in normal view. This view is the default view you're probably used to ̵
To add a new slide, go to the "slides". Section of the Home tab. Here are two ways to add a new slide:
- Clicking the New Slide button automatically inserts the last slide layout you used. Alternatively, you can press Ctrl + M.
- Clicking the arrow below the New Slide button opens a drop-down menu with multiple slide templates for selection.
Let's go ahead and download the menu and see what we have. Simply select the slide template that best suits your purposes.
If you want to insert a slide between two existing slides, select the Slide Preview pane between the two slides where you want to insert the new slide.
Right-click and choose New Slide.
The foil template corresponds to the foil directly above the place where you insert the new one.
Deleting a slide is just as easy. In the Slide Preview pane, right-click the slide that you want to delete, and then click Delete Slide. Alternatively, you can also select the desired slide you want to delete and press Clear on your keyboard.
To rearrange the order of the slides, click on the slide and drag it to the desired position.
