Just like Instagram and other popular photo and video applications, iMovie for iPhone lets you add filters to your entire movie project. You can also add different filters to different video clips in your timeline, regardless of whether the clips started as videos or photos.
Make sure you are in a movie project before you start working for trailer projects. Regardless of whether you want to add a filter to the entire timeline all at once or just to a specific imported video clip, the filters are the same: B & W, Blast, Blockbuster, Blue, Camo, Dreamy, Duotone, Silent Era, Vintage or Western.
: Add a filter to the entire timeline
If you want to add a filter to the entire project in the Timeline, make sure no video clips are selected (highlighted in yellow). , If so, tap a part that is not video. Then tap the gear icon at the bottom right to go to Project Settings .

To do this, tap the clip you want to highlight (in yellow), then select the filter icon (it looks like three overlapping circles) in the toolbar. The same filters are available for selection. You'll also get a preview of the filter, but in a much larger view. You can change the filters at any time or return to any filter if you want.
