Google flirted in recent years with an official Dark mode for its mobile operating system. It even turned out and said that prominentlyhave a negative impact on the battery life of a phone. So if you use a dark theme or a dark mode, the phone's battery should last longer. Not to mention that looking at a darker surface in a low-light environment is better for your eyes.
Google introduced an official Dark Themewith the release of . When this option is enabled, your phone applies the dark theme to seemingly random aspects of the interface. Apps with dark mode that look amazing
The official Android news app has many features. One of the most underrated features is Dark mode. You also do not have to dig through the settings to enable them. Open the app, tap the three-dot menu icon in the top right corner, and turn on dark mode.
Feedly's dark mode is found by opening the page cover and then selecting Settings > Theme > Night . It's a nice touch, especially if you spend a lot of time reading various news and articles.

Popular podcast app PocketCasts also has a dark mode. Activate the dark mode by going to the "Profile" tab and then tapping the "Settings" icon in the top right corner. Then go to Appearance > Theme . Pick from Dark or Extra Dark.
There is no Dedicated Dark Mode available for Google Maps throughout the app. Instead, there is a night mode that is used during night navigation, and you can force the app to use at any time. Pull out the menu on the left side of the screen and go to Settings> Navigation Settings . Scroll down and select Night in the Color Display section of the Map Viewer.
The official Reddit app uses some dark mode settings. You can turn on the night theme in Theme at any time, or you can let the app decide when to turn off due to the time of day or when your phone is in Battery Saver mode.
The YouTube app looks much better with the dark mode enabled.by opening the app, and then tap on your profile > Settings > General > Dark Theme .
There are many more apps that support a dark mode or night theme. If you really want to use all-in mode in Dark mode, it's best to check the app's Settings section (Appearance or Ad subscriptions are a great place) to change the App Appearance option Find.
System-level Dark Mode
If Android Pie is running on your phone, you can turn on the built-in dark mode. The process depends on who made the device and what adjustments were made to Android. In most cases, the following should work: Settings > Display > Advanced > Device Theme > Dark . After turning it on, check the Quick Settings window or your Google feed. Both should be dark now.
When Samsung introduced the update of the One-UI interface for Galaxy phones (including Android Pie), a night mode was added (instead of the dark theme). Night Mode in Settings > Display > Night Mode .
Samsung's night mode takes the interface more aggressively. For example, the Settings app switches almost immediately from a white background to a black background. The quick settings bar and the individual notifications are also dark. You will also find dark versions of almost all pre-installed Samsung apps when the dark mode is activated.
