Amazon Prime Day is upon us – we think maybe on July 1

5 so the latest findings. Even though the company has not yet officially announced the dates for Prime Day 2019, we are getting ready – and you should too.

Sorry, we do not have any secret prior information about the specific offers that we will see as soon as the Prime Day sale starts, but if we find out, they will come right here. In the meantime, check out some of the best laptop deals from Prime Day 2018 and check out some of the best discounts we've found on Amazon for gamer-inspired products.

Some laptop deals offer a bonus, a download code for Wolfenstein: Youngblood, due to ship in late July. However, it does not apply to all different configurations of laptops on a particular Amazon site. So check if they're available from multiple retailers, not just Amazon. Given that Youngblood is a $ 30 title and not a $ 60 title, this may not be a convincing bonus for you.

Things to keep in mind:

  • Once the sale date is confirmed, we will collect all Prime Day laptop and PC listings when certain items are sold out.
  • In the meantime, we're looking for the best notebook, desktop and accessory offerings before the Prime Day – regardless of the retailer.
  • Please note that CNET may receive a share of the revenue from the sale of the products featured on this page.

Alienware m17 for $ 1,800 (you save $ 200)

Sarah Tew / CNET

This is a good price for the not-so-first-class m17, which is equipped with an eighth with six cores – Intel Core i7-8750H CPU and Nvidia GeForce RTX 2070 Max-Q graphics chip. The battery life is not particularly high, but the m17 is future-proof and brings less design losses than comparable rugged laptops.

WD My Passport SSD 2TB for $ 300 ($ 400 rebate)

Sarah Tew / CNET

If you own an old laptop, you probably bought it when games did not take up 60GB of storage. Once you've reached your limits, swapping game files to an external drive will give you time to breathe before you can buy a new laptop. While you can go with a big, cheap external hard drive, they can be quite pokey. This drive is a spacious, affordable 2TB SSD at a discount.
