Judge Amy Coney Barrett survived the second day of her confirmatory hearing in the Supreme Court, and Trump 2020 Advisory Council member Harmeet Dhillon told Fox Business Networks “The Evening Edit” that her ability to stay cool, calm, and collected was her ability , is almost supernatural.
Democratic Senators have repeatedly tried to surprise Barrett with her stance on the Affordable Care Act, but Dhillon told host Elizabeth MacDonald she didn’t think they had “got a finger on her”.
“In fact, it’s almost like having a superpower by sitting quietly and answering these questions politely,” she said. “I think she made each of them look silly or worse.”
Dhillon argued that the hearings so far had been a “failure” and said Democrats should call it over.

“The Democrats would have been better off if they hadn’t had a hearing at all … and voted because I don’t think they convinced anyone of this charade,” she said.
Democratic lawmakers were quick to criticize Barrett for allegedly “dodging” questions when the Ginsburg Rule, named for Barrett’s potential predecessor, prevented candidates from discussing their personal views on matters that might arise in court.

“The judge did exactly what other judges in the same seat did and what they should,” said Dhillon. “No judge could honestly answer how he would vote on a case the facts of which he did not know, and it would not be appropriate either.”
“I hope that in the future, if the Democrats are ever in the same position they nominate judges, they will take the same position as Amy Coney Barrett, and everyone has done so for the last 30 years,” she concluded.
