The incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. local time when a group of people protested outside McClellan Airport, where the president met with California Governor Gavin Newsom to discuss the ongoing wildfires ravaging the state.
At one point during the demonstration, protesters surrounded a California Highway Patrol cruiser outside the airport. This emerges from a video that NBC Bay Area reporter Jodi Hernandez posted on Twitter.
One of the protesters, who wore a red hat, then jumps on the hood of the car and then falls off his back as the driver speeds away, as the footage shows.
Another person wearing a “Trump sucks” T-shirt also fell into the mess, The Sacramento Bee reported.
Some protesters ran to the aid of their protester who was lying on the ground, while others yelled at the driver of the cruiser, as videos show.
