Apple Arcade: Everything you need to know about the new game subscription service

The gaming world is becoming increasingly interesting as Apple has now released its Arcade Games Subscription Service . The Apple Arcade subscription service which was first announced at Apple event in March allows Apple users to play on iPhone, iPad, iPod Touch, Mac and Apple TVs .

Apple's Game Platform joins Google's Stadia – a game service that allows players to stream games over the Chrome browser to a television connected to one is Chromecast Ultra-Streaming Device and Pixel Phones – and Microsoft's New Project xCloud Service allowing players to stream games like movies over Netflix Apple is tracking, however Arcade a different approach. Which devices can I use? use to play Apple Arcade games?

iPhones, iPads, iPod Touches, Macs and Apple TVs can be used with the service. There is a new dedicated arcade tab in the App Store.

For iOS Devices Apple Arcade arrived on September 19 with iOS 13 . Apple Arcade will be available on September 30 for iPadOS (19459005) and TVOS 13 (19459005) and in October for MacOS Catalina (19459005).

Again, the idea is that you download a game to play on your device, and every arcade game is playable offline. Unlike Google's Stadia game service, this is not a streaming service. According to Apple, parents can use Arcade to control children's gameplay time.

And Apple said some arcade games support controllers – including Xbox wireless controllers with Bluetooth and PlayStation DualShock 4- and MFi game controllers – if you prefer to use a controller rather than a touchscreen.

How much does Apple Arcade cost?

At Apple's annual September event the company announced that after a month-long free trial, Apple Arcade will cost $ 4.99 for unrestricted access. What about privacy?

Apple says that Apple Arcade Games may not collect information about you without your consent and may not receive information about how you play the game. Look for individual permissions that allow you to control which personal information you share with whom.
