Public testers, keep your eyes peeled – we expect Apple to release the first beta for iOS 12.1.2 today. The company has just released the developer beta on Monday, December 10, which means the public beta is hot on its heels. When Cupertino gets used to its habits, public testers should see their version of the beta within hours.
While testers will see a beta update in the near future, they probably will not see any new features. We do not expect Public Beta 1 to be delivered with bells or whistles. Rather, public testers should receive large and minor bug fixes as well as security patches. Download and Update If you install your iPhone on iOS 12.1.2 public beta 1, you must first sign up for the beta program and have a valid configuration profile. If you've enabled the new "Automatic Updates" for iOS 12, you can have the software updated overnight. To download the beta now, launch the Settings app, choose General, and then Software Update. Tap "Download and Install" and follow the instructions on the screen.
