the new premium news service that the company had announced on Monday
The Premium Subscription Service is available in the US on iOS 1
This subscription gives you unlimited access to hundreds of publications – including Time, Vanity Fair, Rolling Stone, Illustrated Sports, National Geographic, Wired, Skimm, Geier, the Los Angeles Times and the Wall Street Journal from the Apple News App out.
In addition to the US, News Plus is available in Canada, with about 30 English and French-language Canadian magazines and the Toronto Star newspaper. The premium service will be launched later this year in Australia, the UK and Europe, Apple said. We do not have any prices yet. $ 9.99 converts to around £ 7.50 or $ 14.
I downloaded the new service and it was easy to set up on an iPhone and a Mac. You can also easily find what you are looking for by either browsing the catalog or browsing through topic-specific tabs that extend from the business world to the garden via the app.
The $ 10 monthly all-you-can-read price is certainly attractive if, like me, you subscribe to more than one publication. I pay for the digital version of several newspapers, get a physical paper every day, and subscribe to three or four more weekly magazines. It adds up: monthly access to the Washington Post costs $ 3.99 for an Amazon Prime account, for example. A basic digital subscription to the New York Times costs $ 15 per month, and access to The New Yorker's digital edition costs $ 8.33 per month.
And it's not just about saving money. It's convenient to be able to manage all my subscriptions in one place instead of linking all my subscriptions from the publications sites to the News app.

Setup on MacOS Mojave is similar. Download MacOS Mojave 10.14.4 to your desktop or laptop first. It's big again, so take some time. After the update, open the News app, click News Plus in the sidebar, and follow the instructions. You may need to sign in with your Apple ID at some point.
2. Searching the Catalog of Publications
Subscribing to News Plus gives you unrestricted access to all magazines and newspapers in the plan. You can browse the catalog to see the entire collection and then tap a magazine cover to display the table of contents if the magazine has one – not all. Publishers can also create an animated magazine cover that gives an appealing live photo look. I love the way the animated covers look, but I just saw a few, from National Geographic and the Cut, as I rummaged through the collection.
To enter the app, tap the Browse Catalog tab to see all the latest publications. Magazines are sorted alphabetically, starting with ABC Soaps in Depth. News Plus splits the catalog into two parts, with publications from A to M displayed on one tab and N to Z on another tab. [Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaqe7e7aaaaaaaaq/e7/724×0/9/4/4/9/7/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/4/”/>
The tabs above will take you to magazines and articles that you may be interested in are.
. 3 How to read a magazine
Tap on a magazine to start reading. For non-indexed journals, page through the pages by tapping the Next arrow in the lower-right corner of the page.
Scroll down from people with a table of contents to see the table of contents, then navigate to a story by tapping.
The main window also displays the current magazine, which you can read in the My Magazine section. The most recent magazine you've opened appears here, but I have not seen any obvious way to queue more than one magazine here.
With the magazine open, you can tap the Share button in the upper-right corner to share the magazine with another News Plus subscriber. You can also jump back to the beginning of the magazine by tapping the thumbnail of the magazine in the lower left corner. Tap the back arrow in the upper left corner to return to the main page.
. 4 How to Find a Magazine by Topic
At the top, you can scroll through the tabs to find a topic that interests you. The alphabetical tabs range from Business & Finance to Women & # 39; s Lifestyle. Tap a tab to view the collection of magazines that Apple has collected in the collection.
. 5 How to Find Curated Content
Scroll down from the main page to see magazines and articles highlighted by Apple. Some of the choices I saw browsing included a Rolling Stone article on Game of Thrones, travel tips, and a selection of news from business, entertainment, and science.
. 6 How to Download a Magazine
If you want to read the magazine offline, tap the download button below the front page to save the magazine to your phone. After downloading the magazine, the download icon will not be displayed.
. 7 Find Newspapers
The Browse the Catalog tabs are not newspapers. To find the Wall Street Journal and the Los Angeles Times instead, scroll down My Magazine and other highlighted content until you access journal articles. Scroll on and you can come to the highlights of the Times. (One day we found Times articles, the next day we did not.) To see all that's happening in News Plus that day, open an article and tap the newspaper name at the top of the screen to see the news available information to display articles.
