Apple releases iOS 14.2 Developer Beta 2 for iPhone and introduces new Emoji «Gadget Hacks»



Apple released the iOS 14.2 Developer Beta 2 (Build Number 18B5061e) for the iPhone today, Tuesday, September 29th. The new update adds new emoji to iOS, including a smiling face with tears, seal, ninja, anatomical heart and many others from the Emoji 13.0 collection.

0 a.m. PDT, the company’s standard release time for critical software updates. However, if you are not a developer, you will not see this update on your iPhone. Instead, you’ll have to wait for Apple to release Public Beta 2 14.2, which we expect to see at 1:00 p.m. PDT today or 10:00 a.m. PDT on Monday.

This update will be released five days after Apple released iOS 14.0.1, eight days after 14.2 Public Beta 1, and 12 days after 14.2 Dev Beta 1.

Here’s how to install the latest beta on your iPhone

To update your iPhone to iOS 14.2 dev beta 2 you need to be a registered developer. You can use the recovery image for your iPhone available on the developer portal (install with iTunes or Finder) or install the configuration profile and then update wirelessly.
