Microsoft's Signature Edition PCs were among the best in the Microsoft Store because Microsoft used a clean copy of Windows without bloatware on those PCs. Microsoft no longer manufactures Signature Edition PCs, but you can turn any PC into a PC.
Buying a PC is Often Paid With More Than Just Paid
Booting a new commercially-acquired PC usually begins with delight, followed by a quick restart disappointment. At first glance, Windows seems to be clean and complete, and then suddenly opens a test antivirus. You want to pay for it, install other programs, and when you discard those notifications, you'll be notified of a game you did not ask for. Your computer may be new and fast, but it feels a bit disgusting.
Previously, Microsoft offered the perfect solution: Buy a Signature PC and you would not load a machine with bloatware. Microsoft once boasted that their PCs would boot 1
There are four ways to get rid of a clean Windows PC:
- Use the Fresh Start Tool from Microsoft Junk
- Buy a Surface device
- Create a PC Clean the Windows installation with the Media Creation Tool
Let's look at this
Use the Fresh Start Tool from Microsoft on any PC
Since Windows 8, Microsoft has introduced the "Reset Your PC" option to uninstall all programs and restore the status of the first boot. The problem was that this reboot contained all the bloatware shipped with your system.
Luckily, Microsoft later introduced Fresh Start, a tool that can be used to uninstall any desktop program that is not installed by default in Windows. Regardless of whether it is an antivirus app or office, this tool will remove it. However, this tool has some disadvantages. For example, you might lose drivers that are specific to your computer. Although the tool may remove traditional desktop programs, it will not uninstall Universal Windows Platform (UWP) apps from your computer.
This means that your bloatware was displayed in the form of UWP apps instead of a traditional Windows desktop Apps – this option would not help you. Given that Microsoft itself does not install any apps we do not want now, the Fresh Start tool is not all it's worth. Still, this is a viable option to remove the garbage that the manufacturer has installed (and you may have installed yourself), and he does his job without disturbing your personal files.
You can get started by opening and browsing your Start menu. Click on "Device Performance and Health" for "Restart". Click the "Additional Information" link, and then click "Getting Started." The steps from there are pretty simple.

Buy Surface PC
Manufacturer Dell and Lenovo are installing bloatware to generate extra money from every computer they sell. They sell PCs almost at cost price, which means they have to make very little money with you and catch up elsewhere. The makers of the programs you find on your computer have paid to be there.
But Microsoft has no such considerations. What comes closest to a Signature PC today is a Surface device. You have a clean version of Windows with no antivirus or cleanup programs installed.
The Surface Go starts with Windows S, which does not run any desktop programs. Therefore, Microsoft could not install this program on the PC, if so desired. Unfortunately, Microsoft adds ads in the form of apps to the Windows Start menu. However, this is practically unavoidable. These startup menu screens are displayed on all Windows PCs, even if you are creating a PC and installing Windows yourself. The good news is that you can quickly remove or uninstall them by right-clicking on the app and selecting "Unpin From Start" or "Uninstall".
The downside is that the Surface line is primarily a premium device that costs a lot of money. A Surface Pro 6 starts at $ 899 (without a keyboard), while a Surface Studio starts at a staggering $ 3,500. The only exception is the Surface Go, which starts at $ 400, but the processor on this device is very slow and would not lend itself to intensive work such as editing videos or photos.
Build Your Own PC
When you build your PC, manufacturers can not place any extras on their computer as they take them out of the process cut out. Creating a PC is less complicated than it seems, in part because the process has been streamlined over time.
Building your own desktop PC also has other advantages in addition to the purest Windows installation. You usually do not save a lot of money (it's hard to beat the mass prices that manufacturers get for components), but you can decide where the money is spent. Are you not interested in a fancy case? Get none Spend the extra money to get a bigger hard drive. Do not you need such a powerful processor, but you want a bigger SSD? No problem; You have everything under your control.
The main disadvantage of creating a PC is that you have to run warranties for each part you install, unlike a commercially bought system with a warranty that covers everything. And if you need a laptop, you have to buy one – the construction of one is out of the question.
Clean the Windows installation with the Media Creation Tool
The nuclear option is to install Windows from scratch. Using the Fresh Start tool is probably the easier and better choice, but reinstalling may be better if your Windows version shows bad behavior.
Luckily, thanks to the Media Creation Tool, this makes it easier than ever to create installation media to reinstall Windows 10 on your PC. If you follow this path, you can do a completely clean installation, which means that you remove everything, including your personal files. You should back up important files before choosing this route (if you are not already doing this – what you should know).
It's an unfortunate reality that Crapware is helping pay for PCs, and that's sadly something that even spreads to TV. Fortunately, PCs have at least ways to minimize the problem. If you want a Signature Edition-like experience, take things into your own hands and clean your PC. They will thank you later for the effort.
