The series Diablo becomes a dungeon crawler, which determines the genre becomes mobile. Blizzard announced Diablo Immortal for iOS and Android at its annual Blizzcon event. The game has no release date, but pre-registration is available via the link above.
Diablo Immortal adapts the well-known top-down gameplay for phones and tablets, and uses tap-to-move for progress and thumbs for character traits. Classic Diablo Classes such as Barbarians, Wizards, Monks, and Demon Hunters are available, and the story takes place between Diablo II and III Blizzard refers to the game's setup as "MMOARPG "as in" Massively Multiplayer Online Action RPG ". (Say it's three times fast.) While the previous Diablo multiplayer was limited to a maximum of four, the gameplay video for Immortal shows a dozen or more players simultaneously in a single Co-op dungeon. That could open the door for more MMO-style raid bosses and, of course, some huge loot cases.
Diablo Immortal is technically Blizzard's second mobile game, launched after ] Hearthstone card game on multiple platforms. Immortal is being developed from the ground up for mobile devices in collaboration with the Chinese developer NetEase. Details about the revenue model are rare, but a title that can be freely played on in-app purchases seems like a safe bet.
