What is closed on Thanksgiving?
Shopping today on Thanksgiving Day will severely limit your options.
The majority of AT & T and Sprint phone stores are closed on Nov. 22 for Thanksgiving, though some are independent. After BestBlackFriday.com, AT & T stores and some sprint kiosks could be open.
Department stores like Burlington, Dillard, H & M, Marshall, Nordstrom, Nordstrom Rack and TJ Maxx will be dark.
Even hardware chain stores like Ace Hardware, Acme Tools, Home Depot, and HomeGoods are taking the day off, so your hands-on projects around the house can be better addressed at the weekend.
Certain grocery stores such as Publix and Trader Joe's are closed so you want to stock up on pre-holiday peanut butter-filled pretzels. Also for big box stores like BJ's Wholesale Club, Costco and Sam's Club, make sure that you have enough toilet paper towers in advance.
You can not rely on the fixed locations of Office Depot OfficeMax or Staples for office supplies and sports shops like Big 5 Sporting Goods, Sportsman's Warehouse, Patagonia and REI are also closed.
Banks are closed on Thanksgiving but reopened on Black Friday.
