The first trailerdebuted on December 3 with footage previously shown to fans at D23 and the Comic-Con. Romanoff approaches the door of a residential building with his weapon drawn, and she meets another woman with a weapon drawn. It's Florence Pugh as the character Yelena Belova, who calls Romanoff "sis".
The new trailer also gives fans a closer look atas the paternal character of Alexei Shostakov, also known as the Red Guardian; and Rachel Weisz as the character Melina. This could mean that fans see that Romanoff not only rejoins their assassin family, but also fights on their side.

The movie is set in Budapest. The fans first heard Romanoff's first Avengers film in 2012, chatting with Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner) about a mysterious adventure in the Hungarian city.
"It's a movie about self-forgiveness … and family," Johansson said in an interview with Vanity Fair on November 26th. The two have a depressed, sluggish fight in different rooms of the apartment. Belova's moves are similar to those of Romanoff, which could mean that they were coached by the same person. The fight ends with the characters gagging each other with a shower curtain on the floor.
The SDCC footage also includes a motorcycle hunt, and Romanoff and Belova share a drink, in which Romanoff calls her "sister." It also shows how Romanoff says, "I have a very special ability" and wants to delete the red from their general ledger. Interestingly, there are some attitudes of other women in costumes like Black Widow's, which implies that other Russian agents could replace them at any time.
Theextends what was seen on SDCC and also features a new white outfit for Black Widow. The battle scene between ScarJo and Pugh culminates in the revelation that Pugh is the sister of Black Widow, Yelena, and the fight was just her welcoming Natasha home.
Who is the main villain, Taskmaster?
Other SDCC footage shows Romanoff's car being blown up by the malicious Taskmaster. They fight and Romanoff realizes that he can mirror all their fighting movements – much like Belova in the previous fight. Could Belova be a secret taskmaster, or is there more in this mysterious villain?
The supervillain appeared for the first time in 1980 in the comic series The Avengers. His superpowers include the ability to imitate his opponent's physical moves by simply seeing them.
Taskmaster wears a hood over his head and uses a protective shield. In the comics, Taskmaster also taught criminals how to improve their combat skills.
Andy Park, Director of Visual Development at Marvel Studios, released the first concept graphic for the film on July 22 on Instagram, in which Black Widow shows the fight against Taskmaster.
Who is the Red Guard?
Stranger Things and Hellboy Starwas cast as Alexei Shostakov, also known as the Red Guardian.
The Red Guard appeared for the first time in the comics in The Avengers No. 43. In the comics, Shostakov is seen as a longtime agent of the KGB, but it is still unclear whether his character will be an enemy or an ally of Romanoff.

Cate Shortland is the first director to hire Marvel to shoot a full-length live action film single-handedly. Shortland is best known for her women-run films Lore and Berlin Syndrome.
