Can you use AirDrop on a Windows PC or Android phone?

With Apple's AirDrop, you can easily send photos, files, links, and other data between devices. AirDrop only works on Macs, iPhones and iPads. However, similar solutions are available for Windows PCs and Android devices.

If you only move photos or files between two neighboring Windows 10 PCs, you do not need anything extra. The Windows 10 Nearby Use feature was added in the April 2018 update. This feature works similar to AirDrop for Windows. If this feature is enabled on two nearby PCs, you can quickly send everything-including files-using the Share feature in Windows 10. You should consider a file sending service to send larger files. There are many, but Firefox Send is created by Mozilla and is free. You can upload files to the service. You can use this tool without an account. You can even use it in Google Chrome, Safari, or any other web browser other than Firefox.

Unfortunately, we can not find a Windows client for AirDrop or Android app compatible with AirDrop. AirDrop only works between macOS systems, iPhones and iPads.
