I am constantly using the personal hotspot of my iPhone. Whether I need a connection on the train, in a café without Wi-Fi or if my friends do not have any service, my personal hotspot is a lifesaver. But all of this data originates somewhere of course somewhere where you have your mobile plan. Fortunately, you can see how much data your hotspot has used and who or what has used more of it.
Before you view your hotspot's data usage, make sure your iPhone is upgraded to iOS 13, as this is the time when the hotspot logger runs first. To check your data usage, go to "Mobile" in the Settings app and scroll down to find "Personal Hotspot" on Mobile data . The bar shows the total amount of data used on your hotspot (3.4 GB in the figure below). Just tap to see a list of connected devices and the data they are using. Unknown connections are logged as "Other devices".
You can also reset any data at any time by tapping Scroll to the bottom of the "Mobile" settings page Click on "Reset statistics" and confirm the request on the action sheet. Hotspot data usage is logged until you reset it. It is not based on a daily or monthly timeframe. t Miss: There's a New Easy Wipe to Undo Typing on Your iPhone
