CNN anchor Don Lemon offered a rare scolding from a Democrat, this time House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., For her controversial visit to a San Francisco hair salon in violation of state and local coronavirus regulations.
In security footage from Fox News, timestamped Monday at 3:08 p.m. PT, California’s political powerhouse can be seen walking through ESalonSF with wet hair and no mask. While appearing on MSNBC that night, Pelosi criticized President Trump for delivering his acceptance speech for the Republican National Convention to a live audience on the South Lawn of the White House.
On Wednesday, the top Democratic legislature accused the salon of “setting up”
Lemon seemed to question Pelosi’s story and asked his audience, “Shouldn’t she know better?”
NBC MEDIA REPORTER HAMMERED FOR REJECTING CONTROVERSE ABOUT PELOSI SALON TRIP
“Well into the pandemic, this House spokesman should know what is safe and what is not,” Lemon said. “We should all know. It’s our responsibility.”
The Liberal Anchor continued, “Instead of claiming a line-up, it would have been just as easy for the speaker to say, ‘You know what, I screwed it up. I should have been wearing a mask inside.'”
During an exclusive interview with Fox News on Tuesday, salon owner Erica Kious cast Pelosi’s visit as part of a double standard.

“It was a slap in the face for her to go in, you know, that she feels like she can just go and get her stuff done while no one else can go in and I can’t work,” Kious told Fox News. She added that she “cannot believe” that the speaker was not wearing a mask. (The footage suggests that Pelosi had some sort of covering around his neck.)
“We’re supposed to look up to this woman, aren’t we?” Said Kious. “It’s just annoying.”
