Copying text is as important to iOS as anything else. Since its launch in iPhone OS 3.0 (yes, the first two iPhones were shipped without copy and paste) to iOS 12, the copy function has remained exactly the same. While the option still exists in your iPhone's context menu, iOS 13 provides a modern way to copy text with just one gesture.
If you run iOS 13 on your iPhone, you can now see the gesture in action. Just highlight a text selection you want to copy, then press the display with three fingers. Presto! A "Copy" bubble will appear at the top of the screen, informing you that you have made the gesture. The new gesture works in many apps, so try them wherever you can select text. Apple has made improvements to many of the daily editing tools, including Paste, Undo, Redo, and more. The old approaches are still there for the immediate future, but once you've learned those gestures, you will not want to return your iPhone
