Twitter is a fast-paced network that never stops, which can be overwhelming. It is difficult to keep track of important issues. Lists can come in handy here ̵
Why You Should Use Twitter Lists
When Twitter was new, it was possible to follow all those interested and read all of their tweets. With the growth of Twitter, this became untenable and we were soon confronted with a flood of news that was easy to miss.
With Twitter lists, you can separate individual accounts from others and turn that tide into a small trickle that revolves around a topic. You can also easily add accounts to Twitter lists instead of following them. This means that tweets sent from accounts on this list will only be displayed there and will not appear in your main timeline.
Possible Uses for Twitter Lists:
- Sports: Are you tracking a lot of football accounts that pollute your data? Food? Create a new Twitter list and add it. That way, you'll never miss the latest sports news, but your feed will not get crowded.
- Events: Add all participants in an event to a Twitter list and keep all their tweets in one place. Directories: Add all your employees to a special Twitter list. When you publish the list, employees can keep up to date with the latest developments in your business.
- Competitor: Would you like to keep an eye on the competition without paying attention to it? There is a Twitter list for that.
- Celebrities: There's nothing wrong with keeping up with the latest celebrity gossip when you feel guilty about it. And with Twitter lists, you do not have to worry about more important things.
With Twitter, you can create up to 1,000 different lists and each can have up to 5,000 accounts. Here's how to get started.

Tweetdeck is designed for those who need more flexibility, and it's especially good when it comes to lists. Unlike the main Twitter website, multiple lists can be displayed at the same time. Each list automatically transfers new tweets as they appear, so you do not miss anything. The only downside is that it's not available on mobile devices.
