The Apple TV app contains a lot of great content, and Apple wants to help you identify it by offering notifications for new content. If you find this less helpful, you can change (or disable) these notifications on iOS.
Many TV notifications you receive are not even suitable for content that you can view. Often, the TV app reminds you of the beginning of a new season of a popular show, and if you tap it, you can sign up for a subscription to watch the show! How considerate! Often, these notifications are more annoying than anything else. Therefore, it is probably a good idea to just turn them off.
Fortunately, it's easy to turn off notifications for the TV app on your iPhone or iPad. First switch to the app settings.
Tap Notifications> TV.
to turn off all notifications. Set the top switch to "Off" and you're done.
If you prefer to be more selective, you can of course disable some notifications, but not others. Once you reach Notifications> TV, you can tap on one of the three categories, for example: For example, "Selected Sports," and disable this category of notifications.
