Microsoft Edge displays an article stream on the Start and New Tab pages. These news articles contain "sponsored" listings for dental tools and cheap credit card offers, ie paid ads.
If you're a Microsoft Edge user, you can pretty quickly disable it. Unfortunately, Microsoft may re-enable these news articles after Windows 1
If you want to disable these items on the Edge home page, this page displays when you open it. New Edge browser window: Click the "Hide Feed" icon or the gear icon in the top-right corner of the page.
Select the "Hide My News Feed" option and then click "Save."  The news feed disappears from your homepage, and you only see a blank page with a Bing search box.
Unfortunately, when you open a New, news articles are still displayed on the tab page. The home page and the New Tab page are similar but have different settings for a reason.
To hide news items on the New Tab page, click the Hide Feed or Gear option in the upper-right corner of the New Tab page.
Select "Top Sites" to display only a list of your top sites, or "A Blank Page" to display a blank page when you open a page with a new tab. Click "Save" when you're done.
The news articles will disappear from the Edge home page and the New Register tab, at least until Edge re-enables them after a Windows Update.
These sponsored ads are just one of the many types of advertising that is built into Windows 10.
