Do not fall for this fearsome new social security scam.

We have recently experienced a new version of fraud by the Social Security Administration (SSA). Take a look at this SSA cheat Robocall, which states that your benefits will end. (That's not true, by the way.)

If you receive such a call, do not hit 1 . Instead, just hang up and remember:

  • Your Social Security number is not locked . Call to endanger your performance.
  • The real SSA never asks you to transfer money, send cash or put money on a gift card FTC now. In the first six months of 2019, respondents reported nearly 73,000 social security fraudsters at a loss of $ 17 million. (You can search Fraud Fraud and Losses data at ftc.gov/exploredata.) [1
