If you have a house full of people talking to the same people Amazon Echo, it can be difficult to keep what you have bought secret. When a notification arrives, a yellow pulsing light will appear on your echo (and everyone in the house knows what that means). When someone asks Alexa for the notification, the echo reads what is on the way or what has been delivered.
For example, she might say "your pack of Roomba vacuum has been delivered." If you disable this setting, the yellowwill light up when you buy it from Amazon, so your family never knows when you bought something.
Turning off the yellow light turns off all notifications. Therefore, make sure that you inform anyone who relies on the notifications that you are also temporarily deactivating them.
To turn off the tattling now.
1. In the Amazon Alexa app, tap the three stacked lines.
2. Select Settings .
3. Tap Notifications .
4. Select Amazon Shopping .
5. In the Ordered Items section, you can disable the titles for purchased items. Turn Off the Switch for Inside Delivery Notifications and Inside of "Where's My Stuff?" Inquiries .
6. Go one step further by setting the switch to Delivered and Delivered . This is useful if you do not want someone to know that you have bought something. That's it! Now you can shop in peace, without raising your head and finding out what you have bought.
