Fortnite Season 9 is live.

Epic

Fortnite Season 9 is here and it's all about the future. Epic released the new season of the popular Battle Royale game with changes to the theme, new in-game content, and other changes for players.

When does Season 9 begin?

Fortnite Season 9 went live Thursday morning after servers were shut down for updates. As soon as the servers were back, Epic tweeted the new season trailer.

According to the trailer, the volcano event that took place on Saturday had a lasting effect on the island. The two devastated areas, Tilted Towers and Retail Row, are now being replaced by futuristic versions of the Neo Tilted and Mega Mall sites. The volcano has also changed and is now known as the Pressure Plant.

Season 9 will continue for the next 10 weeks, and Fortnite's Season 10 will begin on August 1st, the Fortnite Intel fan site said.

What's new?

As shown in the Season 9 Fortnite trailer, there are two new areas to explore: Neo Tiled Towers and Mega Mall. Players who know the island like the back of their hand will have to spend some time exploring the places they can plunder and where others can invade them, as these two locations will be popular at the beginning of the new season.

Another futuristic addition: the slipstreams. Located near the Neo Tilted Towers, Mega Mall and much of the inner island, these new towers will propel players as they enter the wind. Players should use these slipstreams as a means of transport and as a way to avoid trouble. Air vents were another mobile accessory to blow players into the air and protect them from falling damage.

Epic added only one new weapon at the beginning of Season 9: the shotgun. The semi-automatic weapon replaces the pumping shotgun that was removed from what was otherwise known as the "vault" game. Some other weapons, items, and throwing items have also been bowed, including Clingers, Buried Treasure, Poison Dart Trap, Scoped Revolver, Suppressed Assault Rifle, Thermal Assault Rifle, and Balloons.

Epic also made changes to the Battle Pass for Season 9 Over the past few seasons, those who have purchased the Pass for 950 V-Bucks or just over $ 10 have 100 levels to work through to get new emotes, Pickaxes and skins like the Sentinel, Rox Progressive and those who manage to unlock Tier 100, the Vendetta skin.

Something new with this Fortnite Battle Pass for Season 9 is the Fortbytes. These collectable computer chips are hidden all over the island and are tagged with a new chip every day of the season. Collecting these items will create a picture of what's going on in Fortnite Season 10.

With these new additions, Epic made several changes to the gameplay and enhancement. The company also added new limited-time modes, such as trios in which players can form three-person squads, the legendary-style solid-gold mode, and one-shot players with 50 health and only on sniper weapons It may take to turn players off.

Fortnite players should expect more content, modes, weapon skins, and possibly clues to next season.

Fortnite is available on PS4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PC, Android and iOS devices.
