The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones is over for endless headlines, theories, and lots of speculation.
Thewas aired on May 1
The show, which is naturally based on George RR Martin's book series A Song of Ice and Fire, began at eight years ago, and that's forever in TV time. The youngest actors have literally grown up with the series, notably Arya, Bran and Sansa.
Where is the book?
Fans who do not know what to do after the series ends, can not even console themselves with Winds of Winter's next book by George RR Martin in the saga, because.
But the book comes like winter. Just before Thanksgiving in 2018, Martin told the Wall Street Journal that he was in a remote mountain lodge where he "kneeled down" and wrote, and that he was "hard at work" for "the winch of winter." He would not give spoilers, but he said he had a master plan, despite the events of the TV show.
"I'll still finish it the way I've always wanted it to, as it has been in my head for 25 years now," said Martin.
Martin also spokein August 2018. Then he noticed that some people died on the screen who will not die in the books. (Margaery? Hodor? Shireen? We can dream …) Despite what Martin has said, he is not averse to killing main characters on the page – and .

Even though the show is over, fans will once again be able to experience the horrors and triumphs of Westeros by visitingin Northern Ireland. HBO does not confirm many details for the so-called Game of Thrones Legacy attractions, but the kits for Winterfell, Castle Black, and King's Landing could be included, and costumes, props, weapons, and other items will be on display.
What's wrong with the GOT spin-offs?
George R. R. Martin does not want to refer to them as spin-offs, but HBO is working on up to five "follow-up shows" that take place in the Game of Thrones universe. Martin has said that fanssince all new shows will take place before the period shown in Game of Thrones. It is not yet known if all or how many shows actually make it to the broadcast.
But you've definitely made more progress than others. Martin called itthen he had to say that this is not the official title (but if we had to guess … it is). It seems to be the mysterious children of the forest – read our guide
In May, the British tabloid The Sun announced that filming has begun and will have the working title "Bloodmoon." We Also Know"Socialite with a secret," and Josh Whitehouse also plays a role.
Need more background information? In June 2018, Deadline reported thatfrom the writer Jane Goldman, known for the Kingsman movie series, as well as Stardust, Kick-Ass and two X-Men blockbusters. It will play thousands of years before Game of Thrones, and HBO provided a fairly general summary of the plot, with the exception of .
"The series traces the descent of the world from the golden age of heroes to the darkest hour," revealed the network. "And only one thing is certain: from the terrible secrets of Westeros history to the true origins of the White Walkers, the secrets of the East to the Starks of legend … it is not the story that we believe we know."
"Some (successor shows) can not even play on Westeros."
We know what is not covered: no rebellion by Robert and no Dunk and Egg. Robert's rebellion refers to Ned Stark, Robert Baratheon and Jon Arryn's rebellion against House Targaryen, and Dunk and Egg are other Martin characters, a Hedgehog and his squire, whose own stories play a century before the current books. Martin said that if he wrote all of his stories about Dunk and Egg, he would appreciate having a show and explaining Robert's rebellion in the current book series if (if …) he's done.
