Game of Thrones Season 8: When it starts, decide when and how HBO will be streamed without wires

  Game of thrones, temporada 8

Helen Sloane / HBO

Winter is coming this spring. The eighth and final season of Game of Thrones will be on us on Sunday, April 1

4th.

To see the coming and going in Westeros as Jon Snow, Daenerys Targaryen and the Starks against the Lannisters and the Army of London to the dead (and their recently acquired Dragon) – the last battle of Winterfell is described as tedious and painfully bloody – you have to watch HBO. Fortunately, there are many easy ways to subscribe, even if you do not have a cable, starting with HBO Now and HBO Go .

HBO's Two Most Important Streaming Options

HBO Go

If you've already subscribed to HBO as part of a cable or satellite TV package, you'll get HBO Go for free. You can stream Game of Thrones along with the rest of the HBO shows to supported phones, tablets, connected TVs, and game consoles. Not only can you see GoT's past seven seasons with HBO Go, but you can stream the new episodes live as they air on HBO.

HBO Now

Unlike Free Streaming HBO Now is a stand-alone subscription to HBO – no subscription to cable or satellite TV is required.

It costs $ 15 a month and you can watch HBO via the HBO-Now app or in a browser at HBONow.com. The HBO Now app is available on a range of devices, including mobile devices, smart TVs, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Roku. As with HBO Go, you can stream live on the new episodes on Sunday night, just as they air on HBO.

Adding HBO to a Streaming Service

You can add HBO to 4 TV Streaming Services for an additional monthly fee. Unfortunately, if you're a GoT fan and also a subscriber to Sling TV or YouTube TV, I'm sorry to say you're out of luck. No service offers HBO. Here are four that do the following:

Hulu

HBO is an add-on to any Hulu plan that starts at $ 5.99 a month, at $ 15 a month.

Amazon Prime Video

] Prime members can add HBO for $ 15 a month. A Prime membership costs $ 119 per year.

Game of Thrones in the UK, Australia, and Other Countries

According to a representative of HBO, Game of Thrones is broadcast in all countries of the world – but not necessarily on HBO itself. In the UK, for example HBO shows are shown on Sky Atlantic and Sky online services Sky Go and Now TV. In Australia, Game of Thrones is broadcast on television and online at Foxtel. In both countries, the show will be broadcast at the same time as in the US (ie Early Monday) and will be repeated on Monday night.

HBO restricts the use of VPNs used to stream the above services from outside the United States.
