Today Garmin announced the newest addition to its line of smartwatches: the Forerunner 745. The beautiful watch is specially designed for triathletes and offers bespoke running, swimming and cycling features to help athletes “set new personal records”

In the press release, Garmin stated, “The Forerunner 745 will monitor statistics and analyze data to help athletes achieve their goals.” The watch has pre-installed activity profiles (including those for triathlons, running tracks, and swimming in the pool). In this way, athletes can easily track progress efficiently and switch between activities at the push of a button. The clock release comes at a perfect time that gives athletes more time than ever to focus on training.

The 745 is the successor to the Forerunner 735XT and has additional features that allow triathletes to train more effectively. It’s as obsessed with stats tracking as you are, allowing you to monitor exercise load, VO2 max, S02, abnormal HR, and more at a glance. The battery life of the 745 is reasonable: in standard smartwatch mode the battery life is up to 7 days, in GPS mode with music up to 6 hours, in GPS mode without music up to 16 hours and in UltraTrac mode up to 21 Hours.

It offers daily workout suggestions, suggests some recovery time between your workouts, and is resistant to water, sweat, and bumpy bike rides. There’s even a Race Predictor feature that takes your training history and fitness level into account to show you your predicted target time. This tool also allows you to set a goal based on this time to work towards your ideal end time.

The Forerunner 745 also tracks your heart rate, exercise volume, bike performance, running dynamics, and other functions. With access to Multi-GNSS, you will have access to navigation satellites even when you are training in difficult, far-away environments. The watch has some other features that you can use when you are not exercising, such as: B. Garmin Pay, intelligent notifications and the ability to sync and play your favorite music.

The watch is available now on the Garmin website for $ 499.99. It’s available in four colors – black, neo-tropic, magma red, and white stone – and is perfect for wearing in and outside of your workouts.
