Nowadays, there is almost every big device in a smart version. However, upgrading to a refrigerator with Wi-Fi or a oven that can pre-heat itself is extremely cumbersome to most people's budgets.

There are ways to beautify your culinary workspace that cost less. Let's take a look at eight simple ways you can outfit your kitchen with smarts without breaking your budget.

Smart Displays

Smart displays are great for viewing photos, viewing videos, and displaying important information such as weather forecasts or your daily commuting. They are also fantastic helpers in the kitchen. Our current editor selection, the Google Nest Hub shows you step-by-step recipes, sets timers, and answers questions about cooking methods and common dimensions.

Amazon's Smart Displays Echo Show offer similar guided recipes (and soon also on-demand and live cooking classes), as well as the Google Assistant Lenovo Smart Display . These counter displays are a great way to answer your kitchen questions when your hands are messy.

Smarts toppings stoves

If you want to spend a little more, you can buy a smart top-up stove that recognizes your food and prepares it with artificial intelligence and cameras. All functions are controlled via a handy mobile app. The June Intelligent Oven does just that, but costs $ 699 (still less than most large ovens).

Whirlpool's WLabs innovation segment featured a similar furnace at CES 2019 . and we have seen a model related to food accessories called Tovala (19459005). Amazon even announced its own Alexa-capable Smart Oven at its September product announcement event in Seattle. No wonder, since Amazon took over Whole Foods in 2017. Cooking on the worktop does not end so quickly and becomes more and more intelligent.

Connected Stoves

The Instant Pot Smart Wi-Fi is the only connected model of the manufacturer of multi cookers. There was a Bluetooth model, but the company discontinued it last year. The Wi-Fi model connects to the Instant Pot app, which allows you to remotely control your instant pot.

Black & Decker also provides a Wi-Fi slow cooker with a companion app that allows you to set the time and temperature, and turn cooking on and off. As with any kitchen appliance that uses heat or pressure, we recommend regularly checking in your appliance during cooking.

Bluetooth Thermometer

To bring a steak to the perfect temperature, precision is required. An attached thermometer will help you keep an eye on cooking so you can prepare several dishes at the same time.

Meater is a $ 70 temperature probe that works with Bluetooth to notify you via a companion app on your phone when your meal reaches a set indoor temperature. Weber's iGrill Technology is available for multiple grills and includes a built-in Bluetooth meat probe to monitor temperature via the iGrill app. You can also buy the iGrill temperature probes individually from $ 50.

Smart Taps

Like the top-mounted stoves, smart taps are expensive but still cheaper than the cost of a large smart device. Both Kohler and Delta produce voice-assisted models of their touch fittings, ranging from $ 800 to $ 1,200 depending on the model. You'll need to give the whole family a quick introduction to how these features work, because using the Voice Recorder with Google Assistant or Amazon Alexa requires special set of grip and touch controls.

Admittedly expensive and not very practical, it is still something wonderfully futuristic to ask Alexa to pour a cup of water and watch it happen remotely.
