Get free Bitcoin when shopping online

  Coinback Stores

Coinback works much like Ebates and other cashback services, except that your discount is provided in the form of Bitcoin.

For years, I've been asking online shoppers to use a cashback service like BeFrugal, Ebates, Honey or TopCashback. With little effort, you can get cash rebates in many, if not most, online stores.

cash? Phbbblltt. Like the 20th century. Today is all about crypto currency, right? So, would not it be cool if you could get your online shopping discounts in the form of bitcoin?

You can, thanks to the aptly named Coinback. It works very much like Ebates and his ilk, but instead of cash rebates you get & # 39; coin discounts. It's extremely easy to use and a great way to dip your toe into the seething waters of the cryptocurrency.

Why bother with Bitcoin?

Why? Why choose Bitcoin payments instead of cold, cash money? Because putting the money in the first one is a bit like investing in the stock market: the value of your digital currency could go up. (Of course it could go down too.) If you've been tempted to see what Bitcoin is all about, Coinback can do it with virtually no risk.

To get started, you need some kind of digital wallet. CoinBack recommends CoinBase (not affiliation), although you can use any service that manages Bitcoin currency. This wallet will give you your Coinback Payouts.

From there you need to install the CoinBack extension in Chrome. After that you will be instructed to create an account. (A Firefox release is due in about a month, according to a Coinback representative.) The service also plans to expand to non-US countries in the next two to three months, he said.)

The Coinback Browser extension informs you if there is a discount option. Click to accept it and then just buy as usual.

Now just buy online as you normally do. When you visit a store that has a coinback option, you will be notified of the extension. Just click on the purchase tracker. Complete your purchase, remembering that you will not see Coinback on the checkout page or similar. Like other cashback services, it works behind the scenes.

How much can you do?

Which coin are we talking about? The cashback percentage varies from store to store, but can range from 1 percent to 10 percent or even higher. If you think that one or two points are not worth the effort, think of your cashback credit card: it adds up.

It is also an effectively risk-free offer. Yes, you should read the Coinback Privacy Policy and Terms of Use, but I see nothing but what you find in most cashback services. Services like these typically earn by linking links and, in some cases, by sharing or selling marketing data.

Me, I'm curious about the prospect of making some Bitcoin Bucks without actually investing money. But if cryptocurrency is not your thing, I still recommend a cashback service.
