Google has made some changes to Gmail over the last few weeks in terms of functionality, but today Gmail for phones is being visually revised. And it's quite bright. How bright.
In a world where so many people ask for dark topics, the new material design design for Gmail is literally the opposite. It is white everywhere. Ev-er-y-where.
Although the look is definitely polarizing, this update is not about aesthetics – there are it also a function! For example, you can see attachments without clicking in an email. That's pretty nice.
The new update lets you seamlessly switch between business and personal accounts. Red alerts also inform you when something seems inappropriate – just like on the web. It is a wild world.
So Google made the Google Mail apps for Android and iOS look like they look like Gmail on the web. Almost like a unified experience. Makes sense to me.
