If you are traveling in the future and find that your electric vehicle is in urgent need of a charge, you will soon be able to use Google Maps to help you find a charging station.
From Today If you're looking for an EV charging station to get all your apps, the Google Maps app will support keywords that point you in the right direction. Simply search the Google Maps app for keywords such as "ev charging" or "EV charging stations" and the nearest supported stations will be displayed.
Google Maps also provides an overview of helpful information about the charging stations, including locations, the types of ports available, their charging speeds, and how many are available. You may also see photos, reviews, ratings and questions, as well as finding restaurants or shops.
Speaking of business: All who have charging stations also include a link Find out more about each charger
The new feature supports a variety of charging stations worldwide, including Tesla and Chargepoint. SemaConnect, EVgo and Blink are supported in the US, while Chargemaster and Pod Point in the UK are available to overseas users. In the app, AU and NZ Chargefox will also be featured in the app.
The feature launches iOS and Android apps starting today, with desktop support launching "in the coming weeks."
