Google’s Nest Audio is an upgraded pillow-shaped Google Home – Review Geek

Today at Google’s Launch Night In event (yes, the “Night In” was during the day), the company unveiled its latest intelligent speaker. More or less a replacement for Google Home, the $ 99 Nest Audio features a pillow-like shape, improved audio and touch controls. That̵

7;s about $ 30 less than the original Google homepage.

The Nest Audio is available in different colors: sage, sand, sky, charcoal and chalk. According to Google, the audio quality has been improved with a 19mm tweeter and 75mm midrange, which offers 50% more bass and 75% more volume than the original Google Home.

The bottom has a white base so you can stand it straight, and the device has touch controls that allow you to mute it without using a voice command. While the pillow shape suggests you can route the Nest Audio in its place, the barrel plug attaches to the back so that doesn’t seem out of the question. However, you can pair the two together to make the enhanced audio sound even better.

According to Google, the case is made from 70% recycled plastic and, as always, you get access to smart home and audio controls. This ranges from controlling your smart home to asking Google to play music on a speaker or group of speakers, if any.

The Nest Audio is $ 99. You can pre-order it now on the Google website and it will be released in October. Google will save $ 20 if you order two.
