Allowing all your username and password to an extension can cause privacy issues. Google understands this and promises to keep all your information confidential and anonymous:
Password Checkup has been designed with privacy in mind. It never reports identifying information about your accounts, passwords, or devices. We report anonymous information about the number of searches that indicate insecure credentials, whether a password change warning occurs, and the affected domain to improve site coverage. Once installed, you just have to leave it to its own devices. It'll run in Chrome and let you know when something's wrong. You can also click to make sure everything is fine if you want, but with a quick glance you should know everything you need to know.
