Hawking radiation is emitted by what?
Answer: Black Holes
In 1974, renowned physicist Stephen Hawking proposed a theoretical argument for the existence of a very unique type of blackbody radiation emitted from black holes can only exist due to quantum effects occurring near the event horizon. The radiation was named Hawking Radiation in honor of Hawking's theoretical work, which provided the framework for further investigation.
In June 2008, NASA launched the Fermi Gamma-Ray Space Telescope, which is investigating, among other things, Hawking radiation and other traces of black holes.
