Here’s how to choose between Apple Watch Series 6, SE, and older models

Apple has announced two new smartwatches: the Apple Watch Series 6 and the Apple Watch SE. Typically, every new Apple Watch is put at the top of the company’s lineup, making the older ones a little cheaper. However, this year’s cadence is different. The new Apple Watch SE looks a lot like the new Series 6 for $ 399, but it lacks some of the key features for a cheaper price of $ 279.

Which ones should you buy and how do these smartwatches compare? Should you jump over the SE for Series 6? What about the Series 5 that came out last year? And are you really missing out on the cheapest 3 o̵

7;clock series? It’s getting more and more complicated to figure out the differences, so we’re going to cover the following specifications to help make your purchase decision a little bit clearer.

Apple offers a comprehensive overview of all technical data for the individual models. However, if you just want a brief overview of the specifications, see the table below. And just as a note: we haven’t used the Series 6 or the Apple Watch SE yet. So don’t just let these specifications guide you. Numbers don’t always tell you everything you need to know about technology.
