There are several different ways you can lock your Windows 10 PC, such as: B. the key combination Windows key + L. If your Windows key is defective and you are still looking for a quick way to lock your PC, create a desktop shortcut.
First, right-click anywhere on the desktop to display a menu. Move the mouse pointer over the “New”
Once selected, the Create Shortcut window appears. Here, type the following command or paste it into the “Please enter the position of the item” text box, then click the “Next” button.
Note: You can lock your Windows 10 PC using Command Prompt or running with the same command.
Next, give your new shortcut a name. Enter a name that compliments the functionality so that you (or anyone else using the PC) knows exactly what it is doing. Enter the name in the field under “Enter a name for this shortcut”. When you’re done, click Done.
The desktop shortcut will now appear on your desktop.
