Hiding spelling and grammatical errors in a specific Word document

  word logo

If you want to hide spelling and grammatical errors in a particular Word document without changing any other documents from the setting, you're in luck. Microsoft Word offers little in this respect.

You may be wondering why you want to disable the spelling checker for a particular document at all. There are several reasons. You may want to keep the feature in most documents, but you might want to have it distracted. Or you may have a clipboard where you use noise words (like the Lorem Ipsum feature in Word). Or maybe you want to test yourself and see how many mistakes you make. Whatever the reason, you can do this in a few simple steps.

Hide document-specific spelling and grammar errors

With the document open, go to the File tab.

 Tab

Next, select "Options" at the bottom of the left pane.

 Select Options

The Word Options window appears. Select the "Proofing" tab here.

 Sample bottle "width =" 157 "height =" 369 "src =" /pagespeed_static/1.JiBnMqyl6S.gif "onload =" pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMayBBeacon (); "onerror =" this.onerror = null; pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon (this);

At the bottom of the window, click "Hide spelling errors in this document only" and "Hide grammar" errors in this document only check box. Click OK".

 Hide spelling and grammatical errors "width =" 679 "height =" 257 "src =" /pagespeed_static/1.JiBnMqyl6S.gif "onload =" pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon (this); "onerror =" this.onerror = null; pagespeed.lazyLoadImages.loadIfVisibleAndMaybeBeacon (this);

This will now remove the grammar and spelling checker only for for the document you are currently working in. Please note that this setting is a document-specific setting and is still valid after sending So be careful!
