The screenshot editor in iOS offers many fun and powerful ways to tag your pictures to quickly highlight what matters. Nevertheless, screenshots are often loud and can distract from arrows, circles and other edits that we add. Fortunately, there is a simple hidden tool that can be used to immediately highlight these markups.
In iOS 13, the Opacity slider can highlight your markups while the screenshot itself is muted. Just open the screenshot editor by tapping the thumbnail in the lower left corner after taking a screenshot. Tap the + button and then select "Opacity". Here you see a slider. The further you move it to the right, the whiter the screenshot will be, which will make your markups stronger.
To save these changes, tap the "Done" corner in the top left corner and choose "Save to Photos." You can also share your screenshot without first saving it by tapping the Share button in the upper right corner of the screen.
