Google announced on Monday ($ 313 on Amazon.com) and will ship with other devices this fall.. The latest version of Android is currently available for Google Pixel
One feature that Google released from the final release is the Digital Wellbeing Platform. With this feature, Google hopes to show how much time is spent on a phone, and more specifically, in a particular app.
Not everything is lost, however, because Google leaves anyone who wants help testing the feature before launching a wider rollout later this year.
What you need
You must have a Google Pixel smartphone with Android 9.0 Pie installed to join the beta.
To test Google Wellbeing, you must first sign up for the beta program on this site. You'll need to enter your Gmail address – I've repeatedly tried to sign in with a Google Suite account – and clicked a box to complete the process.
After submitting your information, verify that you receive an email from Google inviting you to join the beta. Follow the link in the email and then tap the tester button. You will find a link to display the app in the Play Store, where you will be prompted to update the app (read: Install).
