The best part? You do not even have to manually activate night mode if you do not want to. The telegram supports the adaptive and the planned dark mode so that you can define the rules and forget them. If you are a person who likes custom control at the push of a button, you can change your subject at any time.

Option 1: Manually Set a Dark Theme

On an iPhone, tap Settings. In the bottom right corner of the navigation bar, tap View. For Android, tap the hamburger menu icon in the upper-left corner, tap Settings, and tap Chat Settings.

Display in iOS (left); Chat settings in Android (right).

Here you will find all ready-made topics from Telegram. On Android, you have:

  • Default: green and white bubbles on a gray background.
  • Blue: light blue and white bubbles on a blue background.
  • Dark Blue: dark blue and dark gray bubbles on a dark blue background.
  • Dark: dark blue and light gray bubbles on a dark gray background.
  • Arctic Blue: dark blue and white bubbles on a light blue background.

On iOS, unlike the five options of Android, there are only four:

  • Day Classic: Green and white bubbles on a gray background.
  • Day: Dark blue and gray bubbles on a white background.
  • Night: dark gray bubbles on a black background.
  • Midnight Blue: dark blue and dark gray bubbles on a dark blue background.

Tap Each topic not only displays a preview of the topic, but also sets the topic at the same time. Note that a default background is selected for all the above options. However, you can tap Chat Background to choose the background you want.

If you find a favorite background, you can leave this page with your new design. On Android, you can share these topics by long-pressing them, tapping Share, then selecting the app or services you want to share. 19659023] Enabling the dark mode in a telegram for more comfortable night messages ” width=”270″ height=”270″ style=”max-width:532px;height:auto;”/>

Preview and change the theme on iOS (left) and Android (right).

You can also create your own theme. On an iPhone, you can only select one of the color themes and then customize the chat background (accent colors can only be adjusted for the theme "day"). On Android, however, you can create completely new designs. To do this, tap on the vertical ellipsis at the top right, then on "Create new topic" and confirm with "Create topic". Name it, tap the color palette icon that appears, customize all the different aspects of the interface, and then click Save Theme.

Option 2: Set a Scheduled Dark Theme

If You Prefer Your Darkness To automate the mode, you can do so through the Appearance or Chat Settings page above.

On an iPhone with the selected theme "Day Classic" or "Day," tap "Automatic." Night mode. "The option does not appear in the other topics For Android, in the Settings section, tap" Auto night mode ", not the toggle, then select" Scheduled "from the List.

In the scheduled dark mode, you can decide whether the telegram automatically activates and deactivates the dark mode at certain times or at sunrise and sunset. When "Use Local Sunset & Sunrise" is enabled, Telegram requests your location information Select option, you can specify whether the telegram should always use your location or only while you are using the app.

At the bottom of this screen, you can select the preferred dark mode setting. On iOS, you can choose between the two night mode options available in Telegram without previewing. On Android, you can choose between the two options for the "Dark" mode with preview as well as the custom themes you have created.

Option 3: Set an Adaptive Dark Mode

On an iPhone With the "Day Classic" or "Day" theme selected, tap Auto-Night Mode. The option is not displayed in the other topics. For Android, in the Settings section, tap "Auto Night Mode," not the toggle. Then select "Automatic" or "Adaptive" from the list.

Adaptive Dark Mode analyzes the brightness of your phone. If your brightness drops below a certain percentage – whether due to the automatic brightness of your phone or your own choice – the dark mode will be activated. Telegram recommends using automatic brightness for maximum effect, but still works for manual brightness control.

To adjust the brightness threshold, drag the slider to the desired percentage and release it. If your brightness happens to be below the percentage set here, the dark mode will be activated. You can also set the preferred dark mode at the bottom of this page, just like in Scheduled mode. Android also lets you choose custom themes, if any, while iOS restricts you to the two "night" themes.
