The Windows 10 update from May 2019 includes a new light design and a lighter standard desktop wallpaper. So activate the shiny new design and get a brighter desktop.
To turn on the bright theme, go to Settings> Personalization> Colors. To quickly open the Personalization section, right-click on your desktop and select Personalize, or press Windows + I to open the Settings window, then click Personalize.
In the color space, click the check box "Choose your color" and choose "Light".
This feature requires that you have the May 2019 update (Windows 10, version 1903) installed on your PC. This option does not appear if you are using an older version of Windows 10.
For the previous Windows 10 standard version with dark taskbar and light apps, choose "Custom," set your default Windows Mode to "Dark" and your default app mode to "Bright". You can also select "Dark" in the dark desktop color list with dark File Explorer windows.
You can choose whether your windows have a colored window title bar from this area as well.
If you previously used the default desktop background of Windows 10, it was replaced by the shiny new background. However, if you switched to a custom desktop wallpaper, the upgrade does not change the default background.
To use the shiny new Windows 10 desktop background, navigate to Settings> Personalization> Wallpaper and select it from "Choose your image. "
If you can not see it here for some reason, click the" Browse "button and go to C: Windows Web 4K Wallpaper Windows. Double-click the img0 file that matches your desktop resolution.
The new light design affects Windows parts, such as taskbar, start menu, notification popups, and context menus. Windows third-party applications are not affected.
