The ability to respond with an emoji from Slack's extensive built-in collection is excellent. With nothing, a place feels as it does at home, as if you were personalizing it. Here's how to add your own emoji to your workspace.
Note that by default Slack allows all users except guest users to add emojis. Unfortunately, the default setting must remain enabled, or the feature must be limited only to workspace owners and administrators. Guests are unlucky.
To add an emoji, you first need an emoji that is available on your computer. The ideal size is 1
Note: Remember to ensure that the emojis that you upload are licensed for commercial use when you use your Slack the company.
If you have an emoji, click the arrow next to the name of your workspace at the top of the left sidebar.
Click "Customize Slack" in the displayed menu.
This will open the Customize Your Workspace page with various tabs. We are interested in the "Emoji" tab, where you must click on "Add Custom Emoji".
Click "Upload Image" and select the emoji from your computer.
Choose which name you want to give your emoji. This is what you type to look for in the emoji selection or to add it directly to a message with a: (colon).
Click "Save" and you will finish.
Your emoji appears in the custom emoji list. Everyone in your workspace can now use it in a message or in response.
You can delete an Emoji (or any custom Emoji) you've added Emoji (if you're an administrator) by clicking the "x" to the right of the emoji.
And that's all. Happy Emoji-ing!
