The Galaxy Note 10 and the Touch 10 Plus have one less button than previous Samsung phones. Instead, the Bixby button that starts Samsung's Virtual Assistant is now the standby button.
Why? Samsung wanted a slimmer and more iconic look.
But what happens if you hold down the Bixby button to turn off the phones or reboot? By default, Bixby starts. How do you turn off the Touch 1
This is not necessarily ideal or intuitive, but do not worry, there's a way to prevent Bixby from starting the button's functionality and putting it back to a more traditional power button experience.
First, go to Settings by swiping down the notification drawer and tapping the gear icon, or locate the app Settings in your app drawer. Now go to Advanced Functions> Page Key . An option to customize the button is displayed. Hold down the function. Just select the option Turn Off Menu and you're done. Your sleep / wake button will now also provide the power off menu if you hold down the button.
As you may have noticed above this setting, you can also adjust the Double-Press the button's function. By default, the Camera app launches, but you can choose to turn Bixby on or open another app that you have installed. It's your decision. Touch the toggle next to . If the phones have one button less, Samsung does not necessarily want to remove more buttons and use a button without a key phone in the future, but it would not be the first time that we see a phone without physical buttons to key settings you want to change to get the most out of the phone.
