How to clean a phone screen

Smartphones and tablets are like magnets when it comes to fingerprints, oil stains, dirt, dust and all sorts of other less than flattering mistakes. Sure, you can smear your finger on the screen or wipe it off with your shirt, but that does not really cleanse your device.

You've probably spent serious money on your smartphone and tablet, adding extra effort to take care of it by following the steps below? The following tips will help keep your phone screen as sharp and clean as it was the day you bought it.

Microfiber Cloth

The easiest way to clean the screen of your device is to use a microfibre cloth. Unlike paper-based towels, microfibre cloths gently cleanse the sensitive glass of your smartphone or tablet without risking scratches. Microfiber attracts and removes unwanted oils and dusts where other products can easily disperse them.

We recommend that you do a lot of work with them, as they work wonders in cleaning and polishing surfaces – lenses, computer screens, televisions, etc. Some items, such as: Glasses, for example, come with a microfibre cloth, so you probably have one in your possession.

Turn off the screen to clean the screen. See the dirt and dirt better. It is also mandatory if you use water (see below). Move the cloth repeatedly in a horizontal or vertical direction. Once you have completed one area of the screen, continue to the next soiled area and continue wiping until the surface is completely clean.

For dirtier jobs or jobs that require more than one microfiber cloth and a little elbow grease. Consider using a minimal amount of water. First turn off your smartphone and remove the battery (if possible). Then moisten one corner of the cloth with water – do not use soap – and clean the surface of the screen in a similar manner as described above. Then use a dry part of the cloth to remove some water (you can also let the screen dry in the air).

We also recommend keeping the microfibre cloth clean so you do not rub the dust and dirt that you have. I have picked up the display again. To clean the cloth, simply dip it into a mixture of warm water and soap, rinse it completely, and air dry it before using it again.

Things to Avoid

Not every cleaning method is the same and unfortunately there are some methods that you should definitely avoid. [19659033] Alcohol-based Cleaner

Regardless of how appealing or appropriate the use of a product such as Windex or another cleaning product may be, never use it to back the screen of your smartphone or notebook cleanse tablet. Such cleaners can damage the protective coating on most devices and destroy the phone.

A simple Google search, however, provides thousands of special solvents or cleaners that allow the devices to clean properly screen. Mostly, these are just glorified versions of alcohol and water. It makes no sense to spend $ 60 or $ 70 on a "screen cleaner for smartphones" if you use a little water and a microfibre cloth.

Paper-based wipes

Never wipe or clean the screen of your smartphone with paper towels, facial wipes, or coarse cloths, as they have a high percentage of paint scratching the surface. These scratches can accumulate over time and cause your touch screen to stop responding or become unusable down the line. Again, a microfibre cloth is the only type of wipe that allows you to properly clean the screen of a smartphone.
