There is a serious benefit to Nintendo's decision to use the standard Bluetooth technology on the Nintendo Switch: you can easily connect the console's unique controllers to PCs, Macs and even Android Use devices. This includes the Joy-Cons and Switch Pro controllers, the latter of which is an additional $ 70 issue that's totally worth it. To use these controllers on the PC, you only need one Bluetooth receiver (if you do not already have Bluetooth)
How to connect the Joy-Con controllers
You can easily connect Joy-Con controllers to each other with a Windows or Mac computer directly in the Bluetooth menu. Follow the steps below.
Step 2: Disconnect the Joy-Con as usual from the switch. Step 3: Hold the "Sync" button on the Joy-Con – which is located between the SR and SL buttons – until the LED lights start to flash. Use the image below if you need further explanation
Step 4: Look for joy -Connect your computer's Bluetooth menu and select the option to pair with your device. There are some quirks, such as the fact that the mating displays on the Joy-Con do not stop flashing. However, you can confirm that the controller is connected by looking at your computer's Bluetooth settings. If the following error message appears, move the controller to make sure that no other devices are interfering with the signal. Then try again.
Unfortunately, the two Joy Conss are treated as separate controllers by default. This is great for two player games, but it makes the useless useless for something complex, like a first person shooter (why do you use a controller to still play a PC shooter?).
There is also a rather elaborate workaround to synchronize a pair of Joy-Cons as a single controller. It includes several external programs and some intensive tinkering, so we think the described process is the best way. If you're interested, follow the steps of Reddit user Jayzizzle1234
How to connect the Switch Pro Controller via Steam
The Steam beta client now officially supports the Switch Pro Controller so that you can use it Do it with all your games and even remap the buttons, if you think it's right.
Step 1: Download the Steam beta client and go to the "controller settings" menu in Steam. From here, you can check the support for the Switch Pro Controller and enable the "Use Nintendo Button Layout" option, which will change all of your game's button requests to match the Pro Controller. If you do not select the check box, the A / B and X / Y keys will be swapped just like on the Xbox One.
Step 2: Next, connect your Switch Pro Controller with a USB cable and you'll be asked to register and calibrate the built-in motion control gyroscope in certain games.
Step 3: Once you've done that, select "controller configuration" and you can adjust the function of each button and stick on the controller, make preset configurations for specific games, or choose your own community configuration Member by pressing the X key. If you want, you can even bind the gyro sensor to a specific function, making it almost as accurate as a mouse-and-keyboard player in certain games.
